The chapter has the opportunity to name a new Chapter Outstanding Junior on a yearly basis. This honor can be given to any Junior, for work inside and/or outside the DAR. Chapter members vote on the Chapter Outstanding Junior every fall.

A Daughter who is between the ages of 18-35 is a Junior member. Juniors are full members who can hold leadership positions when eligible. The John Bell Chapter, NSDAR, is proud of its active Junior membership, which in turn is thankful to receive a lot of support from the chapter. Our Juniors hold their own meetings and socials a few times per year.

Each year, the Junior Membership Committee decides on a service project. Recent projects have included support for the following causes and organizations:

• Domestic Abuse Intervention Services (DAIS) of Madison

• K9 military units serving overseas 

• Badger Honor Flight 

• Local classrooms
